Janelle Brown '23 and teammates celebrate the Nov. 29 win at Sacred Heart.

Fairfield men’s and women’s basketball teams both own month-long winning streaks.

Fairfield University turned the calendar to 2024 as home to two of the hottest basketball programs in the nation. The men’s basketball team is currently riding a six-game winning streak, while the women’s team has been victorious in nine consecutive games.

Fairfield and Auburn University are the only two Division I institutions in the nation with active winning streaks of at least six games for both their men’s and women’s basketball programs.

Led by Interim Head Coach Chris Casey, Fairfield Men’s Basketball has surged into the new year with a 7-6 record. The Stags return to MAAC play this Friday, Jan. 5 at Siena and are back on the court at Leo D. Mahoney Arena on Sunday, Jan. 7 to host Marist at 2 p.m.

Most recently defeating MAAC preseason favorite Niagara on Thursday afternoon, 77-54, Head Coach Carly Thibault DuDonis and Fairfield Women’s Basketball are off to an 11-1 start to the campaign. The Stags bring their nine-game winning streak to Canisius on Saturday and are back on campus at Mahoney Arena for conference clashes with Iona (Jan. 11) and Siena (Jan. 13) next weekend.

Tickets for all remaining home games are on sale now at FairfieldStags.com/TIX.
