Nancy Clegg Altobello ’80 to Receive Alumni Professional Achievement Award, April 3

Nancy Altobello ‘80

Continuing the tradition of recognizing professional excellence, outstanding leadership, and volunteer commitment to Fairfield University, this year’s Fairfield Awards Dinner will honor Nancy Clegg Altobello for her exemplary professional achievements on April 3, at Cipriani 42nd Street.

Fairfield University will honor Nancy Clegg Altobello ’80, who capped her 38-year-long career with Ernst & Young (EY) as global vice chair of talent, with the Alumni Professional Achievement Award during this year’s Fairfield Awards Dinner on Wednesday, April 3 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

An accounting major, Altobello joined EY right out of Fairfield and held several senior roles, including leading talent for EY globally and serving as a member of EY’s board of directors. She continues to serve on several boards, including at Fairfield when she joined the Trustees Advisory Council in 1993 and the Board of Trustees in 2002, serving several terms and chairing the Finance and Audit Committee and currently the Compensation and Leadership Development Committee.

Altobello’s interest in serving, mentoring, and cultivating talent began at Fairfield Dolan, in part because of the caring faculty and staff who encouraged her path forward. Throughout her career, she returned to campus to recruit and mentor accounting students, moderate the Dolan Dean’s Executive Forum, promote women’s leadership, and support educational initiatives to position more students for success in college and beyond. Read more about her professional achievements and commitment to Fairfield University.

Since 1988, the annual Fairfield Awards Dinner has raised more than $21 million for the Alumni Multicultural Scholarship Fund and other scholarships while celebrating the achievements and volunteer service of distinguished members of the Fairfield community.
