The [Fairfield] community is one of my favorite parts of the club.

At Fairfield, student clubs receive funding from an allocated budget each semester. Spoon Fairfield funds are budgeted for campus-wide events, restaurant features, and more. Since Fairfield transitioned the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester to virtual learning due to the coronavirus and required safety measures implemented by the state of Connecticut, the club used its remaining funds to give back to the community. The club purchased meals from local restaurants in the town of Fairfield and had them delivered to first responders around the Fairfield area.

Fairfield student Danielle Vazzano ’20 said, "Spoon Fairfield has allowed me to meet so many people and become more familiar with the town. The community is one of my favorite parts of the club. This initiative allows us to give back to the community that gives us so much. It is our way of saying thank you to the first responders as well as helping restaurants during this uncertain time."
