Recreation Positions 

Building Staff

Provide high-level customer service to all RecPlex patrons. Greet patrons, keep the building clean and operating smoothly, check out equipment, and perform other tasks as needed. This is a Federal Work Study Award preferred position. Contact: Brian Kabel (bkabel@fairfield.edu)

Lifeguards

Provide a safe environment for all bathers. Patrons include open swimmers, high school swimmers, youth aquatic groups, and collegiate club swimmers. Must have a current lifeguard certification with a nationally recognized association. Contact: Brian Kabel (bkabel@fairfield.edu)

Group Fitness Instructors

Energetic, encouraging students who have a passion for leading others to establish and maintain healthy lifestyles. Group Exercise Instructors must have extensive knowledge in: proper fitness programming, safety, participant motivation and communication. Club Sports Positions

Club Sports Event Supervisor

Responsible for game day site supervision. Check-in with team officers, game officials, and athletic trainers to be sure everything is ready to go and answer any questions they may have, have game officials complete the proper paperwork, ensure AED and team medical kits are on site, be a presence for the recreation department and club sports program, other duties as assigned. Intramural Official 

Provide a fun yet competitive atmosphere for Fairfield University students. Responsible for officiating various intramural sports, maintaining equipment, and attending mandatory officials trainings. Intramural Scorekeeper

Provide accurate scores/times pertaining to various intramural sports. Provide a clear understanding of the rules of various intramural sports. Must attend mandatory training.
