Health care is provided by our physician and a staff of nurse practitioners and registered nurses. A nurse practitioner is an "Advanced Practice Registered Nurse" licensed to manage common illnesses and prescribe me.
To receive medical treatment at the Student Health Center you must be a full-time undergraduate student and have the required admission Medical Report on file. There is no visit fee for eligible students.
The Student Health Center is available to assist graduate and part-time students with immunizations required for matriculation and referrals to community Health Care Providers, but is not able to provide ongoing clinical care.
For Medical Emergencies, please call Public Safety at (203)254-4000, ext.4090 for immediate assistance. All Public Safety Officers are certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). More Emergency Information

The Student Health Center opens on Friday, September 1, for the Fall Semester.
All visits are by appointment.
All students requesting a clinical visit must call the Health Center first at (203) 254-4000, ext. 2241. In case of an emergency, contact Public Safety at (203) 254-4090.

All medical visits to the Student Health Center are confidential. Health records are completely separate from other University records. Access is limited to authorized Student Health Center personnel only. The Student Health Center will discuss/release personal medical information only with the student's written permission. Students may obtain a consent form for the release of medical information at the Student Health Center. This release is valid for the specified visit/illness only. This is a legal requirement.
If a student is referred to a hospital Emergency Department by the Student Health Center staff, the student is encouraged to notify parents/guardians. In the event of a life-threatening illness, the student's parents/guardians will be contacted directly by the Student Health Center clinical staff.
